# Import from Simplenote

Notejoy makes it easy to import all your notes from Simplenote.

To import from Simplenote:

- Start by exporting your notes from Simplenote. Login to simplenote.com. Expand the sidebar. Select Settings. Select Tools. Select Export Notes. You'll automatically start downloading a zip file of all your notes. Extract that zip file into a folder on your computer.

- In Notejoy, select Import Notes from the user menu in the bottom-left corner

- Select the target notebook for the import by clicking the notebook name in the header

- Where it says "Choose files, a folder, or drag here" select folder and then pick the folder where you extracted the Simplenote zip file.
